About Project

In order to support tourism infrastructure development in Georgia, Internet Access and Training Program, is carrying out a project entitled, “Places – Tourism Development in Georgia” which aims to help entrepreneurs active in the hotel industry to develop online resources and spread information about their businesses through internet. It incorporates, on a first stage, trainings in computer use and Web design, empowering them to create their own websites for their hotels or about tourist attractions in their area, which IATP will host free of charge on its server. On a second stage, project aims to conduct also free distance learning courses for interested audience in tourism and hotel business management.

Project will be carried out at 5 IATP access sites located throughout Georgia (Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi, Telavi and Khashuri), where chosen applicants will take trainings and create websites of their businesses.

People who are engaged in tourism business and are interested in development of this field, who also own a hotel or a guesthouse and have a wish to create a website to promote their business, can participate in the project.

Applicants should provide following documents and information:

• Filled in application form
• Personal ID
• Text information about hotel or guesthouse and at least 2 photos of owned premises (one view from outside and other interior view). Provided materials must also contain information about existing conditions at the living facility.
• Two references, one from a friend or a neighbor and another from official. These references must prove that applicant is trustworthy, reliable and the presented living facility complies with basic sanitarian rules.
• Registration certificate from tax department.
• Privileges will be given to hotel and guest house owners, who will be willing to present information of nearby located cultural monuments on their websites.
